Portable XRF/µXRF

Portable XRF/µXRF (micro X-ray fluorescence) mapping is a technique used to analyse the elemental composition of a sample while simultaneously creating a spatial map of those elements. It combines the elemental analysis capabilities of XRF with the ability to scan a sample’s surface at a microscopic level, enabling the identification and quantification of elements within specific areas. This technique is valuable in various fields, including geology, archaeology, art conservation, and materials science, due to its portability, non-destructiveness, and ability to provide detailed elemental distribution maps.
